Because it's no luck at all but patience and technique ;) you put a camera on a tripod you set time for about few minutes and wait when you catch something. The best option is to have remote control and BULB mode in your camera, but it's only in DSLR's and very few compact cameras.

Yes, this is the problem, this one is made from home, but if I want better background I need to go out, and during the storm it's not the best idea ;)

I've Always wanted to try to take a lightning photo. That and a northern light shot are my goals for the future. :lol:

It's quite easy, but takes a lot of patience. :) And there are many good tutorials how to do it, if you need any tips tell me :)
