I was thinking about it for some time now. Warsaw is a capital that is quite special. Not many countries have rivers in their capitals. And Vistula river - in Polish: Wisła - is huge, beautiful and wild. And it is one of the last that is not regulated by human. There is lots of greenery (bushes, trees and lots of perverts and anglers in there ), lots of birds and wild animals. Also Wisła with time is being more and more clear. There was a time when it was so populated you couldn't even swim there. Now you can dive in and you won't catch any nasty things on your body.

Said that you might guess that what Warsaw really needs are bridges, right? You're right - as almost all of the cities with the rivers inside we have problem with too few bridges. I have a great plan to take a photo of every one. And if I will manage that then I will show them to you. Since I cheated a little, I already have one photo. Of the bridge where I risked my life and run from trams trying to kill me.


So ladies and gentlemen, I give you... GDAŃSKI BRIDGE!

Gdański Bridge (from the Gdańsk city's name) was build in 1959. It has two levels what is not very common for bridges - one for cars and the lower one for trams. It is being
light up at night by beautiful green lights which makes this bridge so characteristic.
