Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Sacrifice one cinema visit - help one dog! + BKS

Recently I've found about homeless dogs and cats shelter. It's being led by polish painter Bożena Wahl .
She doesn't have any donations from government or from anyone. She only lives from what she can gather from selling her paintings and people donations.
This lady was famous, but she resign from luxuries from carer and devoted to lead this shelter. Now she have really tough situation.   

It doesn't take much to help. One visit in the cinema is more then a month of dog's living.

Since polish currency is very cheap now, it takes very little money to help.
The monthly coast of living for dogs is:
small dog - about $10 / 8€ / 40 polish zl
big dog  - about $16 / 12€ / 60 polish zl

It's very easy to help. You can or pay any quote to whole shelter or VIRTUAL ADOPT a dog. It's easy. You choose a dog and pay for his living for as long as you want. Then your name is being display as the virtual owner of the dog.
If you don't know polish (I want to translate shelter's site but it will take some time) then you can ask me and I will help you with everything.

Please spread the news around dA and wherever you can! These are poor creatures. The foundation's name is "Last Chance" and it is true - it is their last chance...

im not sure i understand these costs.
is that: small dog - 8 dollars and 10 cents ($8.10) or 10 dollars and 8 cents ($10.08)?
same for big dog; is it $16.20 or $2.16?

I think that you can donate simply by transferring funds to their account number - it's the number I put in the journal. I did copy and paste so I'm sure it's the same. :)

And sure, I can direct you around and I can do it in quite (in my opinion :D) cleaver way. :devilish:

Try this:
1. Enter google translation site: [link]
2. Choose language to translate from -> Polish
3. Choose language you want text to be translated to -> English.
4. In the text field simply put the shelter address: [link]
5. Google should translate the whole page to you. :)

If you want financially aid the shelter you just need to transfer any amount of money to the provided account number ("nr. konta" in polish - I see it didn't translate everything...)
Or you can try to virtual adopt a dog. It's in the menu on the left. :)


I did propose them translating the whole page, but they didn't respond yet. I guess they must be quite busy there... But I believe that it would help. In the end all over the world are more people who would like to help then just in Poland. :)
